Sir Roger Penrose is a British mathematical physicist, mathematician and philosopher of science. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2020 for his work on black hole formation and is known for his contributions to general relativity and cosmology, including the Penrose-Hawking singularity theorems.
